Corrections Policy
Liverpool News Views is committed to accuracy, transparency and accountability. Our editorial process aims to ensure all published content is factually correct, clearly expressed and supported by reliable information. If an error appears, we correct it promptly and openly to maintain the trust of our readers.
How We Handle Corrections
1. Factual Errors
If we publish an incorrect fact — for example, an inaccurate match detail, misattributed quote or incorrect statistic — we will:
- correct the error immediately once verified
- add a brief correction note at the bottom of the article if the change affects meaning
- update the “last modified” date to reflect the correction
Corrections are applied to the live article so that readers always see the most accurate version.
2. Minor Updates
Small improvements such as spelling fixes, grammar updates, formatting adjustments or clarifications that do not change the meaning of the article may be made without a correction note.
3. Transparency Notes
If a correction alters the understanding of the article, we include a short statement such as:
Correction: This article previously stated X; this has been updated to Y for accuracy.
4. Reporting an Error
If you believe an article contains a factual issue, please email:
editor@liverpoolnewsviews.co.uk
Include:
- the link to the article
- a short description of the suspected error
- any supporting information (if available)
We typically review and respond to correction requests within 24–48 hours.
Our Commitment to Readers
We believe that acknowledging and correcting mistakes strengthens credibility. Our goal is to ensure every article on Liverpool News Views is accurate, fair and up to date. This policy applies to all content published on our website.
